Davor Vidas

Davor Vidas is Research Professor in International Law at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute, Norway, and Honorary Visiting Professor in the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment at the University of Leicester, UK. He is the Chair of the Committee on International Law and Sea Level Rise of the International Law Association (ILA; 2012–2022), and is an advisory member of the Anthropocene Working Group of the International Commission on Stratigraphy. Professor Vidas served as Principal Investigator for several major research projects on international law and interdisciplinary approaches to ocean issues. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief (with D. Rothwell) of the short monograph series Brill Research Perspectives in the Law of the Sea, and is an author or editor of many publications, including more recently International Law and Sea Level Rise: Report of the International Law Association Committee on International Law and Sea Level Rise (with D. Freestone and J. McAdam, eds), Brill: 2019.
