2024 Short-Term Fellowship Program for Young Overseas Researchers has launched.

On September 2, 2024, four overseas short-term Research Fellows for this year arrived at JIIA. The Fellows will stay at the Institute for the next three months and conduct research on Japan's territorial issues and international challenges. This year's Fellows are as follows:

• Cindy Annemarie Frieda Mandagi Programme Manager / Director of Southeast Asia Lecture Hall Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia(FPCI)
• Lan Anh Nguyen Dang Researcher, Centre for East Sea (South China Sea) Studies, Institute for Chinese Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences
  
• Arnab Dasgupta Research Analyst, East Asia Centre, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA)
• Quang Hong Trieu Institute for South Asian, West Asian and African Studies (ISAWAAS), Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS)
