Fellowship Program
Short-Term Fellowship Program for Young Overseas Researchers
Overview
The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) yearly invites young Asian researchers specializing in International Relations to Japan. The goal of this program is to provide them with opportunities to exchange views with university scholars, think tanks, and government officials, as well as to visit actual sites related to Japan's territorial issues. Through those activities, they will enhance their understanding of Japan's international issues and utilize their cultivated knowledge for their research. After completing the program in Japan, the participants are expected to submit a research paper based on their comprehension of the issues and experiences in Japan. We hope that the invited young researchers will promote mutual international exchange and build research networks between Japan and other Asian countries in the future.
